Gino - you asked if the current UK Prime Minister removed the portrait of Margaret Thatcher from 10 Downing Street. Yes - he had the portrait removed because he found it 'unsettling'. As awful as Kier Starmer (current UK PM) is, this is one decision that I don't object to. Margaret Thatcher did some great work. She dismantled the destructive power of the unions for one. However, her taste in friends could not be more awful. She was very chummy with Jimmy Saville - one of the most notorious sex offenders in UK. A paedophile and necrophiliac, by all accounts. An ugly, ugly character.

 

Jimmy Saville was awarded a knighthood by Margaret Thatcher plus a Papal knighthood by the pope at that time. As the saying goes - you can judge a person's character by the company they keep! The plot doth thicken when we realise just how rotten and corrupt our political rulers are - past and present. I am constantly amazed at how trusting and naïve we all used to be! Ignorance sure was bliss!!
