So this little treasure trove is returning to earth on Sunday, September 24th. Osiris Rex is due to land somewhere over Nevada. It is carrying samples taken off the asteroid, Bennu.

Osiris - meaning 'the mighty one' is an ancient Egyptian 'god'. All information in the link below. Rex means 'the reigning god.

What does it mean, though? A few rocks off an asteroid is going to produce a mass of information? How so? I reckon the big money boys want to mine this thing - at the expense of the everyman's tax dollars. Perhaps that just my cynical take.
