Thank you for your words of appreciation. I am grateful for them. Chance, I always eagerly await your posts, read them, then print, and study them. Often they are high points of my week. Thank you so much! As you have seen, the dates for Elul differ by several days depending on if you rely on the Hillel Calendar or the Torah Calendar. Both believe that the Rosh Chodesh of Elul began for Israel at sunset on 8-28-2022. Agreed. Then they differ. The Hillel (Chabad) Calendar sees Elul as 29 days in duration rather than 30 days. So that creates a LONGER WATCH PERIOD for the possible Day of The Blessed Hope. So the Last Day of Elul will be Elul 29 on the Hillel Calendar, which will begin at sunset on 9-24. However, the Last Day of Elul will be Elul 30 beginning at sunset on 9-26 on the Torah Calendar. So the Last Day of Elul on one calendar begins earlier, as the Shabbat ends for Israel. Or it begins later, going to the 3rd Day of the Scriptural Week, from Monday to Tuesday. That is a difference of 2 days. Yom Teruah (The Feast of Trumpets) begins at sunset on 9-25 according to the Hillel Calendar. However, according to the Torah Calendar, it begins at sunset on 9-27. Again, a difference of 2 days. The Feast of Trumpets is reckoned as 2 days rather than 1. Calendar discrepancy. Calendar confusion. Which calendar will Abba Father, the Messiah, and the Comforter be using? That is a key question to ponder. Earlier or later? Trust which calendar as part of THE WATCH?
So, the Elul-Tishri Extended WATCH PERIOD, for the most intense preparations, for the possible long awaited event of the Resurrection-Rapture, is from 9-24-2022 all the way through to 9-28-2022, when Israel goes to Day 2 of new Month 7 according to the Torah Calendar. Is the Departure of the Redeemed in Messiah-Christ nearly here? We shall know soon. I wonder how the new King of England, King Charles III, factors into things. A new Monarch and Leader, after 70 years of patience, preparations, and waiting. WOW! May the Captain of our Souls soon appear!
With Love and Shalom,
Jean
