The verse below doesn't contain the word abomination, but it does contain the word desolation.
Luke 21:20-21, "And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto."
If you go over to blueletter.org and type the word "abomination" into their search engine to do a word study of what it refers to, you will find that worshipping other gods, making graven images of them and setting up places for worship of them are abominations. Some examples of this can be found in Deut. 7:25, Deut. 13:13-14, Deut. 17:2-5, Deut. 27:15, 1 Kings 11:5-7, 2 Kings 23:13-14, Isaiah 44:19, Jeremiah 32:34-35, & Ezekiel 18:12.
Of course, worshipping and serving the Antichrist, the Beast, would be an abomination, and making the image of the Beast and worshipping it would also be another abomination. However, Daniel 11:31 states "... and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate." And Daniel 12:31 states, "...and the abomination that maketh desolate set up" sounds like the image of the beast that the False Prophet have the people make which is set up and they shall place it inside the holy place (the temple) where it will stand so that people can worship it.
Rev. 13:14, "And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
