I Am Sure It Is Just a Coincidence

We are now about 3 weeks away from the highest watch time of the year for the rapture.  Rosh Hashanah, also known as the Feast of Trumpets, will be on February 3rd and 4th this year.  We are especially hopeful that this year, 5776 on the Jewish calendar, will be the year that Jesus comes for his bride due to many clues about the significance of 5776 that have been discussed in other articles appearing on this web site.  We are also in the 120th jubilee year since creation and many believe there is a connection here with Genesis 6:3

Gen 6:3  And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years (KJV).

Was God saying that man will not live to be over 120 years old, or was He also saying that He will strive with us for 120 jubilees?  Perhaps there is a double meaning here.  If the latter is true, then this could be the year for Christ to return for His church (bride) before all hell breaks loose.

This is the place where somebody will, invariably, jump in with both feet and accuse me of being a “date setter.”  First of all, I am not setting a date.  I am pointing to a range of dates that occur every year.  Secondly, show me in the Bible where it says it is a shameful thing to set a date.  Where is it written: “Thou shalt be ignorant of the date of the return of the Lord thy God.”?  What chapter?  What verse?

On the other hand, I would reply that the Bible commands us to watch for the return of Jesus:

Luke 12:37.  Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he comes shall find watching: truly I say to you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them (KJV).

Mark 13:37.  And what I say to you I say to all, Watch (KJV).

Rev 3:3.  If therefore you shall not watch, I will come on you as a thief, and you shall not know what hour I will come on you (KJV).

Eph 6:18.  Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints (KJV).

1 Thess 5:6.  Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober (KJV).

Rosh Hashanah is a two day ‘moed,” or divine appointment, and is based on the sighting of the first sliver of the new moon.  This year we know that Rosh Hashanah occurs on both a Monday and a Tuesday.  Computer simulations show that it will be far more likely that this sighting will occur on Tuesday, rather than Monday.

I am sure it is just a coincidence that under Jewish tradition, it is customary for the groom to return for his bride on a Tuesday.  Nobody, except for the father of the groom knows which Tuesday it will be.  It is just customary for the return date to be on a Tuesday.

Does anybody doubt that God places a very high premium on tradition?  I really expect to see Jesus return on a Tuesday.

Of course, I am sure all of this is just a coincidence.
