Faith and Wisdom
“If you need wisdom,
ask our generous God, and He will give it to you. He will not
rebuke you for asking.
But when you ask Him, be sure that your faith
is in God alone.
Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty
is as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by
the wind. Such
people should not expect to receive anything from the
Lord. Their
loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they
are unstable in everything they do.”
James 1:5-8
"Faith is the
substance of things hoped for, the evidence of
things not seen." Hebrews 11:1
“By faith
we understand that the entire universe was formed at
God’s command, that what we now see did not come from
anything that can be seen.” Hebrews 11:3
“And it is
impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who
wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and
that He rewards those who sincerely [diligently] seek
Him.” Hebrews 11:6

But to those called by God to
salvation, both Jews and Gentiles, Christ is the power of God and the
wisdom of God. This
foolish plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human
plans, and God’s weakness is stronger than the

But we speak the wisdom of God in a
mystery, [even] the hidden [wisdom], which God
ordained before the world unto our glory:
Which none of the princes of this world knew:

the Lord of glory.

the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared
for them that love him.
