Hello John and Doves,I would imagine big banks are testing out all kinds of scenarios and checking the facts - much like insurance actuaries. And they aren't like what they are seeing...BRICS is becoming a bigger and bigger 'threat' to the West. Many countries/leaders around the world are sick and tired of the West's (er, the U.S.'s) control and 'meddling', particularly Russia, China and Iran.BRICS Summit, October, 2024:BRICS just ended their summit in Kazan, Russia this last week.BRICS members are Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa.. It has "expanded to embrace Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia. Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Malaysia have formally applied to become members and several other countries have expressed interest in joining.""The summit covered the deepening of financial cooperation, including the development of alternatives to western-dominated payment systems, efforts to settle regional conflicts and expansion of the BRICS groups of nations."Putin "accused the West of trying to stem the growing power of the Global South with "illegal unilateral sanctions, blatant protectionism, manipulation of currency and stock markets, and relentless foreign influence ostensibly promoting democracy, human rights and the climate change agenda."He said, "Such perverse methods and approaches - to put it bluntly - lead to the emergence of new conflicts and the aggravation of old disagreements...""Russia has specifically pushed to the creation of a new payment system that would offer an alternative to the global bank messaging network SWIFT and allow Moscow to dodge Western sanctions and trade with partners.""In a joint declaration Wednesday, participants voiced concern about "the disruptive effect of unlawful unilateral coercive measures, including illegal sanctions' and reiterated their commitment to enhancing financial cooperation within BRICS. They noted the benefits of "faster, low-cost, more efficient, transparent, safe and inclusive, cross-border payment instruments built upon the principle of minimizing trade barriers and non-discriminatory access.""China's President Xi Jinping has emphasized the bloc's role in ensuring global security....""Russia's Kremlin-controlled media touted the summit as a massive policy coup that left the West fearing the loss of its global clout." BRICS countries equal about half of the world's population. This challenges the Western "hegemony."And Moscow "ratified a pact with North Korea on mutual military assistance as part of a "strategic partnership" with Pyongyang.Expectations From the BRICS Summit:"The fact that such a meeting is happening at all signals a shift in global politics and exasperation with the U.S. role in the world - and that should concern Washington....BRICS represents more than just the fragmentation of the international systems - it embodies growing resentment among middle powers toward the U.S.-led world order....if unaddressed, these groupings will eventually coalesce around a more political and economic agenda."
What can we expect from the 2024 BRICS summit?World War III - The Banks See What's Coming:Jamie Dimon is the CEO of JPMorgan Chase - the world's largest bank. He's more concerned about geopolitics today than "the workings of financial markets and the Federal Reserve."He said that "The risk is extraordinary. World War III has already begun. You already have battles on the ground being coordinated in multiple countries.""He lamented the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East and the growing cooperation between the U.S. adversaries including Russia, China, North Korea and Iran."He said that these countries are "clearly talking about dismantling the system set in place by the U.S. and its allies after World War II.""We run scenarios that would shock you." - in terms of the possible economic implications of a global conflict that spirals out of control.""Nuclear proliferation is the biggest risk mankind faces, even ahead of climate change."If America doesn't collapse from the inside, outside forces will bring her down. The Biden administration is responsible for much of the rot inside and outside of the country that has turned so many countries against America. BRICS is just a response to what is happening with the West and its 'leadership' or lack there of.BRICS will not bode well for the U.S., for the West. There is a growing list of movers and shakers who believe we are already in WWIII - now we can add the CEO of the largest bank in the world. Mind his words - they've run the scenarios.Maranatha!Chance
