"RE: Mike P: 10.02.23: apostles creed"

Mike,
That was very interesting, thank you.
Back, before I was saved, when I was catholic, I used to recite the apostles creed, a lot.
After I was saved, I noticed that there was another doctrinal aberration in the creed.
It says, "I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth".
However, it makes the Father as doing the creating, but the scriptures show that it was the Son who did the creating:

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

  3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Colossians 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

  16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

Ephesians 3:9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

Hebrews 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

It appears that it was the Father's will and plan of the creation, but that he had it accomplished by his Son.
