"the chosen people of the King"

Approaching the second advent, will things again be like when the LORD delivered his people from Egypt?

Micah 7:15 According to the days of thy coming out of the land of Egypt will I shew unto him marvellous things.

There were great signs & wonders, and mighty, fearsome plagues, leading up to the LORD delivering his people from the heathen.
Is it possible that the tribulation will be similar?
The last time the world saw the King, was while he was dying on a cross, with "the King of the Jews", written over his head.
Then forty years later, the city of the King was taken and destroyed, and the people of the King were dispersed.
The world then allowed heathen to live in the land of the King.
To the world, the King had been killed, his land and city taken, and his people dispersed - they had destroyed his kingdom!
Six centuries later they even put a mosque to their false god upon the mount that the LORD had promised to put his name there.
It sure looked like the King and his kingdom had lost, and that the enemy had won.
3500 years ago it seemed hopeless, when the chosen people were not in the land of promise, instead they were enslaved in a heathen land.

So, how did he first have himself presented to the heathen?

Exodus 5:1 And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.

He had Moses present him as, "the LORD God of Israel", where he identified himself with the nation of Israel, thus throwing down the gauntlet.
So, Pharaoh, and the mighty nation of Egypt, were to be used by the LORD, to glorify himself.

Exodus 9:16 And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.

And he did it the hard way, with signs, wonders, and plagues:

Exodus 7:3 And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.

Deuteronomy 4:34 Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

So, is it possible that the signs, wonders, and plagues of the tribulation will be for the same thing?
This time the King is coming back, the same one that they scourged and nailed to the cross.
They cannot kill him this time, as he is resurrected, having defeated death, and with all power in heaven and earth.
The King will come when the heathen of the world will be attempting to destroy all the King's people, like Pharaoh did at the Red Sea:

Exodus 14:3 For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are entangled in the land, the wilderness hath shut them in.

17 And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.

The forces of the heathen will swarm upon the land of the King, and attack the city of the King, like they did in 70 AD.
Except this time, the King, himself, will show up in person, to deliver his people, and fight against the enemy like Joshua:

Joshua 10:42 And all these kings and their land did Joshua take at one time, because the LORD God of Israel fought for Israel.

To include not only the west bank, but the east bank with Gilead, as well as all of Bashan, the Gaza strip, and even the Phoenician strip with Tyre & Sidon.

The heathen, which had held the King's land for centuries, had even defiled the holy mountain of the LORD.
Those heathen, while still in the King's land, have recently done horrific things to the people of the King, but in the name of their false god.
Will the King avenge himself of these wicked things?

Psalms 79:1 O God, the heathen are come into thine inheritance; thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem on heaps.

6 Pour out thy wrath upon the heathen that have not known thee, and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon thy name.

10 Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is their God? let him be known among the heathen in our sight by the revenging of the blood of thy servants which is shed.

And if the heathen, round about, will now, also take wicked action against the people of the King?

Psalms 59:5 Thou therefore, O LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah.

Psalms 110:6 He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.

Psalms 149:7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;

Jeremiah 10:25 Pour out thy fury upon the heathen that know thee not, and upon the families that call not on thy name: for they have eaten up Jacob, and devoured him, and consumed him, and have made his habitation desolate.

Obadiah 15 For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head.

16 For as ye have drunk upon my holy mountain, so shall all the heathen drink continually, yea, they shall drink, and they shall swallow down, and they shall be as though they had not been.

Ezekiel 36:5 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey.
