"RE: Garry B: 09.24.23: fall away"

Garry,

You had quoted the following lines from Hebrews 6:

"Here are scriptures telling us that those who fall away will lose their promise of salvation."

Hebrews 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

Is that "fall" the same as the following?

I Corinthians 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

Had a number of the Galatian Christians fallen away?

Galatians 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

Had the church of Ephesus fallen away?

Revelation 2:5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

Did novice pastors fall away?

I Timothy 3:6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.

7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

Is being a rich Christian, apparently very dangerous, leading to falling away?

I Timothy 6:9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

Will there be a whole lot of Christians, who are going to fall away, before it is all over?

II Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

How does the following fit in to all this?

Jude 24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
