Normally peace puts an end to war and fighting so how can the Antichrist destroy many by peace?  The Antichrist doesn't peaceably destroy the bodies of the saved, born again believers because they refuse to worship the image of the beast and are beheaded & are not defeated in the Antichrist's spiritual warfare with them. 

In my opinion, I think it is Satan's & the Antichrist's spiritual war that destroys many by peace without a gunshot being fired or an arrow being shot from a bow.   Making peace with the Antichrist destroys an unbeliever's & unsaved soul forever once they worship the image of the beast and take his mark in the right hand or forehead because they will eventually end up in the lake of fire and none of them repent.  This eternally destroys their body & soul and separates them from God.  (2 Thess. 1:9, "Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;")

Daniel 8:25, "And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand."
