The Men Who Fell to Earth!!
(Revelation 10: 10,11) Then I took the little book out of the angel’s hand and ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth. But when I had eaten it, my stomach became bitter. 11 And he said to me, “You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, tongues, and kings.”
(Revelation 11: 3,4) And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.” 4 These are the two olive trees and the two lamp stands standing before the God of the earth.
The front page headline in the Canberra Times on Friday 12 October 2018 was very interesting - The Men Who Fell to Earth!! Clearly in response to the two Astronauts (one Russian and one American) on the ill-fated Russian space mission. A pointer to the Two Witnesses? What a timely metaphor! This sign comes at a time of high expectancy for the Rapture. Could the Rapture and Tribulation be very close? An alternative may be a pointer to the coming of the end-time Elijah (Malachi 4:5),, sent by the Lord and heralding the imminent Day of the Lord.
The emergency landing was in the steppes of Kazakhstan. I just happened to be reading a book by Grant Jeffrey (Unveiling Mysteries of the Bible). In discussing the Garden of Eden he noted that “The Hebrew word translated as Eden may be derived from the Sumerian word for plain or Steppe!!! Interesting!
On Friday (the same day) we took our two grandkids to the Australian War Memorial. 11 November 2018 is shaping up as a major celebration - they have planted around 62 000 red poppies in the lawns (the number of Australian lives lost in WW1 - a huge sacrifice for a young country a long way from the main war zones). I know that Bob Ware has identified some dates to watch in November, and I have been very much drawn to 11.11.
A few other interesting things. We are clearly in a time of earthquakes in many regions. One of the main cities affected in Indonesia was Palu - an anagram of Paul (the main Apostle to the Gentiles). The AFL Grand Final was won 79 to 74 - 153 when added - the Gentile harvest number. An Australian horse WINX won its 28th consecutive race (4*7) recently - this record will probably never be beaten. My odometer on one of our cars the other day was 356 666 (km) - ominous (we also have a newer car!).
So many signs around the world! Hurricane Michael has had a quite extraordinary impact and we feel for those affected.. Stock markets (including in Australia) are shaking and the birth pangs are likely to get stronger. His Coming draws very near!!!
Maranatha! Denis
