I find a lot of my dreams have to do with the past.
To me it is like God dealing with emotional unmet needs.
Many times friends from the teenage years appear
A time when one is most dependent on approval from others
So as adults we carry around a lot of baggage from the past
Unresolved needs.
To me this is like God trying to show us how these things still affect us
He also gives us the answer
He loves us anyway, but he also wants us to heal and grow.
So we may gain understanding, have concern for others and heal relationships.
Paul said, forgetting the things of the past we move on
We can also heal those things by giving them to Jesus
God wants us to be whole without reservation
