Dear friends:
The most important and I believe the most interesting topic in the whole Bible is “the blood of Jesus.”

I urge you to read at least that one chapter (5).
No other religion or faith system has anything like the blood of Jesus. He is the unique Son of God, and His sacrifice was unique. That is why He said, “No one comes to the Father but by me,” one of His many statements that freak out followers of false religions, or no religion, and Christian liberals.
Dr. Roy Blizzard, author and scholar in Hebrew studies and archaeology made this profound statement, "In the veins of Jesus flowed God's own blood." That is why the blood of Jesus is so meaningful and powerful.
The blood of Jesus provides us with many benefits which are available nowhere else in the universe, so to deny or ridicule the blood of Jesus deprives a person of those critical benefits. Here are a few of them:
We are purchased (for God’s kingdom) with His blood. Acts 20:28.
We are justified by His blood. Romans 5:9.
We are sanctified with His blood. Hebrews 13:12.
We are redeemed by His blood. Ephesians 13:12; Hebrews 9:12;
We have atonement (at-one-ment with God) through His blood. Romans 3:25.
We are brought near (to God) by His blood. Ephesians 2:13.
We have peace with God through His blood. Colossians 1:20.
We are washed (freed) by His blood. Revelation 1:5.
We are cleansed by His blood. I John 1:7.
We are healed by His blood (stripes). Isaiah 53:5; 1 Peter 2:24
We have boldness before God by His blood. Hebrews 10:19.
We overcome Satan by His blood. Revelation 12:11.
The New Covenant was ratified by His blood (Matthew 26:28)

In times past, churches would fervently sing and preach about the blood, but not so much anymore. The blood is rarely if ever mentioned in many churches, which are trying to be seeker-friendly, not wanting to offend the delicate ears of souls comfortably on their way to hell. Modern song lyrics and melodies are often vapid and lack power.
Some people say that the blood of Jesus is not enough, that we must add to it. Not so. We can neither add to nor detract from the effectiveness and power of the blood of Jesus. It is so powerful, I believe many people reading and meditating on the Scriptures included in this message will be healed of depression, fears, and even physical sicknesses.
Below are two of the classic “blood songs.” Enjoy.
