Hello Suzi, I read your letter on
"Before Its News" also and since I. too, came
out of the life of the Occult (perhaps not near as
deep as you) I am a tad familiar with much you
said. With all due respect, I disagree with
having anything to do with the holiday at all.
The comments posted by others are in line with how I
believe.
I feel like the example of Joseph whom turned his
back on that 'temptress" rather than letting himself
get weakened with each bit of clothing being
discarded is what we should do rather than let
ourselves be weakened by the wiles of the
devil.
If we are to shake the dust off our feet
when the Gospel isn't receptive, then how much more
should we shake the dust off our past lives.
Mark 6:11 says, "And whosoever shall not
receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart , shake
off the dust under your feet for a
testimony against them..."
If you feel like you can play around with it, so
be it. It is not for me!
