In the different countries I have worked in, particularly in the middle east, they absolutely hold the American people responsible for the US government.

They refuse to accept that it is totally out of the hands of the people.

At best, the people tolerate the corruption, but at worst, the people are complicit.

The idea that a nation which began by its people refusing to be subjected by cruel leadership, in that case, king George,

would now, supposedly stand by for far worse things, and not do anything about it, doesn't pass the smell test.
