THE MISSION OF THE MINISTRY OF GOD'S TWO WITNESSES IS A MIRROR IMAGE OF CHRIST'S  MINISTRY...........

Revelation 11:3

"And I will give power unto  My two witnesses, and they shall prophesy one thousand two hundred and three score days..."

When comparing the mission of the ministry of Jesus  BEFORE His crucifixion with the mission of God's two witnesses AFTER His crucifixion there are SO MANY SIMILARITIES that they are nearly A MIRROR IMAGE of each other.  It appears that the mission of the ministry of God's two witnesses is TO COMPLETE or FULFILL the ministry of Jesus Christ according to the following  comparisons :

Jesus's ministry was during the 1,260 day FIRST HALF of the 70th week of Daniel; God's two witnesses ministry will  be during the 1,260 day LAST HALF of the 70th week of Daniel.

Jesus was cut-off from His ministry in THE  MIDST of the 70th week of Daniel......God's two witnesses will begin their ministry at THE  MIDST of the 70th week of Daniel when it resumes. In other words, the ministry of God's two witnesses will BEGIN where the ministry of Jesus was  "CUT-OFF".

Jesus's ministry was to preach salvation for the Jews in Israel; God's two witnesses ministry will be to preach salvation for the Jews in Israel.

Jesus was killed in Jerusalem at the end of His ministry; God's two witnesses are killed in Jerusalem near the end of their ministry.

Jesus was dead for three days; God's two witnesses will be dead for three and one-half days.

Jesus was resurrected from the dead by God; God's two witnesses will be resurrected from the dead by God.

Jesus ascended to heaven after His resurrection from the dead.......God's two witnesses will ascend to heaven after their resurrection from the dead . 

SO, THERE YOU HAVE IT:

It appears that THE  MISSION  of the ministry of God's two witnesses is TO COMPLETE or TO FULFILL the "cut-off"  ministry of Jesus Christ during the 1,260 day LAST HALF of the 70th week of Daniel which is also the duration of God's  Great Tribulation judgment upon the whole world.  Just AFTER  God's two witnesses ascend to heaven in ( Revelation  11:12 ) the seventh , and last, angel of the Great Tribulation  sounds his trumpet proclaiming THE END of the 70th week of Daniel and the Grest Tribulation according to :

Revelation 11:12

"......COME UP HITHER...."

Revelation 11:15 and Revelation 16:17

"And the seventh angel sounded..........."  "And the seventh angel poured out his vial ..........and there came a great voice out of the temple in heaven,  from the throne saying, IT IS DONE."
