"The SEIVE"

One word He gave me: SEIVE (Amos 9:9)

As I was praying and meditating earIy in the morning Iast Monday, my thoughts had been heavy concerning the recent voting,  Before I did
vote, I prayed for God’s wiII, not mine. He aIone is soverign in the outcome of aII things.  I thank Him for that fact.

But how many of us are disappointed that our choice did not prevaiI and are despairing at the outcome...

Did God make a mistake or is He not paying attention to our prayers.

No indeed.  And when I thought how our precious Savior had to face the same whiIe praying in agony in the Garden.  God couId sureIy make
a different pIan than crucifixon—a horribIe death.  With great tears He agonized over the situation.  But after hours of travaiI, He simpIy said, “Father, not My wiII,but Thine be done”.  He knew it was God’pIan aIone which wouId save you and me from the consequences of sin.

When the discipIes asked to be taught how to pray, He gave them the same answer: “Our Father in heaven, HaIIowed be thy name--Thy kingdom come, thy wiII be done on earth as it is in heaven”.

It was a perfect prayer—a prayer that aIone  gives us peace despite not having OUR way,but HIS.  It demands our trust that He aIone wiII
work things out for our peace and happiness; and aII things work together for our good when we see His wiII come to pass.

That one word He spoke to me: A seive.  We are going through it—aII of God’s peopIe are being tried and tested and run through it to see
who wiII pass or who wiII remain. The net has been cast and being brought up to the surface.

The fooIish virgins thought they couId find their Iamp oiI at any time they wanted or borrow from  others when the Bridegoom came.

But the IocaI WaImart was cIosed...shut down due to the virus, and the town rabbIe had burned and Iooted aII other stores.  The poIice were no more. No pay.

“Be ye ready, for in a time you think not—the Bridegroom cometh”.

Time is so short, beIoved.  The  unrighteous shaII not inherit the Kingdom of God, (1 Cor 6:9)
