THANK YOU!!    http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/nov2020/derrickd118-1.htm

Recently I heard a preacher on youtube saying the OLD TESTAMENT Saints had to wait 1,000 years to be resurrected…… and I was like HUH???   WHY???   Just didn’t make any sense to me!!   Makes far more sense that the resurrection would include both New and Old Testament Saints!!

Prayerfully we don’t have much longer to find out!!!!

Totally get what you’re saying about maybe not focusing so much on the rapture….. but I’ve also got to say it’s the ONE THING that keeps me grounded.   Well I don’t want to be grounded to “here”, but you know what I mean – the one thing that keeps me motivated, moving forward in life!!

So I continue to be blessed by our BLESSED HOPE!!!!!!!!!   Which will soon turn into BLESSED REALITY!!!!!!!    😊

Blessings to you, Derrick!  And thank you for taking the time to respond!!   Much appreciated!

And as far as my own life challenges this year – you know, it never ceases to amaze me how often times, some Christians are so quick to want to pounce & tell me I’m having a rough time of it cuz I’ve been sinning!!  Just like Job’s buddies!!  So I get taken aback by that – no, I was not sinning (anything I was aware of)  but will confess with all the ongoing shenanigans I’ve been doing plenty of mouthy sinning SINCE all these trials started!!  (cussing that’d make a sailor blush)   Hey, I never claimed to be perfect!!  I tuck my tail between my legs and quickly repent.  I wish I could stop sinning, and although one lady writes a blog promising we can – I simply do not know how to stop sinning “in this life”.  Even the Apostle Paul claimed to have trouble in doing what he wanted to not do & vice versa.  Insight appreciated.

I was listening to James today – and am TRYING to accept my trials & learn patience that’s to accompany it!!  But nobody but nobody – not even in 3rd world countries, much less here in America should have to be subject to what I’ve been enduring!  It’s a heinous crime.

Different subject:  Something brought you to mind recently, Derrick – RE:  a discussion we had early on when we first “met” here….. the little old ladies’ club of SMALL Laodecia CHURCH in America – sigh, sadly, ran off ANOTHER pastor!!!  One who’d been on fire and was so glad to be there!!!   He got in a couple years before they ran him off.  All I do is nod my head in utter disgust!!  Guess they think they’re going to get a pass from the Lord because they are sweet “innocent” old ladies!!!  But I digress…..

Any job now days comes with tons of challenges, and I would think at the top of that list would be pastors – who are rather expected to please everyone!  Hopefully the sincere & real Christian ones will work on living their lives honorably in pleasing God over man (or woman!)…. Come what may, even if it means members say mean things and move on or whether they run off the man of God.

Thank you, again!
