"Unusual Sign in the Moon"

This grabbed my attention. An unusual halo surrounded the moon on the night of November 16th. Quoting from the article on spaceweather.com " It was a unique halo around the Moon. It appears to be two superimposed halos, slightly offset like a helix". The article then goes on to compare it to exactly the same type of helix "in a galaxy far, far away". That galaxy happens to be Draco!

I have included the very short video clip that Hubble took of this helix in Draco. To access the photo of this rare halo around the Moon, go to the first link and scroll down the page for the photo and article. If you are reading this after November 17th - use the archive box to set the date back to Nov 17th.

Very intriguing that this halo appears to mirror the one in the Cats Eye Nebula - nr Draco.
