You really should look up the text of Mark Twains book “Innocents abroad”  1968…

His party did the grand tour of Europe and finally the Holy Land…

Traveling from the Sea of Galilee to Jerusalem, he saw nothing but desolation hardly a person anywhere.

Only a few pitiful  arab  Bedouin,,,migrants …. Jerusalem was absolutely desolate, only a handful of inhabitants…

So much for the modern Palestinian myth…
