Re David Daughtrey rapture vision and globus cruciger

I’m wondering if the Bronze sphere in David’s dream could be the globus cruciger in Michael’s post linking to Wikipedia.  The rivets would be represented by the seams and jewels; without the “plus sign” of course…some more than others, naturally.  I think David would have to consider the context.

 

Turned upside down the globus cruciger is identical to the sign for the planet Venus.  While literature refers to the “plus” of the globus cruciger as a cross, in most versions the length is not representative of a cross.  This symbol is relating to a feminine gender.
