"Reply to: Mary Beth (18 Nov 2013) "Caution" Mark of the beast"

Hi Mary Beth,

I did not read this thread, but did enjoy your response to it!

I would like to point out something that I noticed, and not sure if any others had pointed this out before or not.  It says "If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand”.  This would indicate to me that 3 things are needed to happen to be in eternal torment!
  1. Worships the beast
  2. Worship his image
  3. Receives his mark
All three of these must take place in order for the person to be part of this eternal torment group.  This would also mean that you would have to know what you are doing to be in this group.  You could not be tricked into taking just the mark and not completing the other two parts and be in that group.  The scriptures shows an “and” and not an “or” between each of these items.  I think it would be very stupid to think you could get away with taking the mark without worshiping the beast and his image.  Thanks for sharing your discernment and caution!

David Blackman,

Hi John - This is Mary Beth.

I consider myself a Dove. I regularly read "5 Doves."

All of you have expressed my heart's desire to be raptured and be with my Lord. All of you are helping me put the pieces together about what is truly happening in our world and also putting the clues together that God has left and is presently leaving for us about his return.

I love everyone on here. I have learned from everyone on here. I am eager to meet all of you in heaven!

This is my first time writing.

There is something that I just have to express my opinion on. I do it with a heart of total love and respect for everyone. We are all family here and I hope everyone takes this as though we are all family.

The reason I am writing is because I am very concerned.

I believe it is very dangerous to be saying that taking the mark of the beast might be reversible.

God has given us a heads up in the Bible. His heads up to us is to tell us  NOT to take the mark. The Bible tells us that those who take the mark WILL be lost forever.

From my perspective - If we doubt that, maybe we can also doubt that accepting Jesus as your Savior and Lord is the only way to heaven.

The idea that someone can Reverse the Mark of the Beast
seems to me to be a dangerous line of discussion because our discussion may cause someone who reads our discussion to never be in heaven with us.

Even if one person sees the idea and that idea later leads that person to think that taking the mark is reversable - the result could be is horrific. We need to be helping each other to not lead people in this area.

"If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name." Revelation 14:9-11

We read in Revelation about the Christians who are killed BECAUSE they won't take the mark. That is the message of God. God says that if you obey God, you will be killed and if instead you take the mark - you will be tormented forever.

"Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years." Revelation 20:4

AGAIN, I am very concerned about spreading the idea that you could just cut off your hand if you have the mark on your hand.

My discernment is screaming that this is a dangerous thing to say and could result in someone being forever lost.

I don't believe that cutting off a hand will do any good.

I could give lots of reasons why cutting off your hand might not do any good. I will say only one thing - once you take it - you do not know the results of taking it  - both spiritually and or physically.

Adam and Eve were told NOT to eat the fruit. They did anyway. There was no going back after they did. They couldn't just put their finger down their throat and throw up. I don't think anyone here would think that if Adam and Eve threw up the forbidden fruit -  they would not face God's punishments.

The most important reason not to take the mark - is because God says  Don't Do It.  God says you will be tormented forever.

The scripture given in 5 Doves (Matthew 5:30) about if you hand causes you to sin cut it off - is not even in the same context.

That verse is saying that if you are TEMPTED to sin - such as tempted to steal - better to cut off your hand than go and sinfully steal. Here the verse is not saying "Cut your hand off after you have already sinned." The verse is talking about cutting the hand off to keep from sinning IN THE FUTURE.  Of course we understand that "cutting off the hand" actually has the message - Take God seriously and Do whatever it takes to stop sinning. (Still again, it has nothing to do with past sins.)

PLEASE everyone - someone might read the words on 5 Doves and later MAY be tempted to go ahead and take the mark during the tribulation -  THINKING they will be able to get it out of their body later.

Think about this: God said you must accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. What would all of you think if someone on here posted that maybe it is ok not to accept Jesus and then later when you go to hell - God will probably forgive you.

Please let's consider carefully what we say about "taking the mark of the beast."

One More Thing

Some people have posted on 5 Doves and their post takes us to videos whose content is based on remote viewing. When I first hear that the video is about remote viewing, I turn it off. So I may have misunderstood. Nevertheless, while I am writing, I just want to make sure all the Doves know what remote viewing is.

>From Wikipedia:

Remote viewing (RV) is the practice of seeking impressions about a distant or unseen target using subjective means, in particular, extra-sensory perception (ESP) or "sensing with mind".
Typically a remote viewer is expected to give information about an object, event, person or location that is hidden from physical view and separated at some distance. The term was coined in the 1970s by physicists Russell Targ and Harold Puthoff, parapsychology researchers at Standford Research Institute, to distinguish it from clairvoyance.
Remote viewing was popularized in the 1990s following the declassification of documents related to the Stargate Project, a $20 million research program sponsored by the U S government starting from 1975 in order to try to determine any potential military application of psychic phenomena. The program was terminated in 1995 after it failed to produce any useful intelligence information.

The study of psychic phenomena by major scientists started in the mid-nineteenth century......

May God bless all the Doves!
