Was just thinking about the upcoming holiday of Hanukkah and how it could possibly relate to the rapture. It's interesting to me that the holiday originated when one day's supply of oil stayed lit for eight days:When Judah and his followers finished cleaning the temple, they wanted to light the eternal light, known as the N'er Tamid, which is present in every Jewish house of worship. Once lit, the oil lamp should never be extinguished. Only a tiny jug of oil was found with only enough for a single day. The oil lamp was filled and lit. Then a miracle occurred as the tiny amount of oil stayed lit not for one day, but for eight days. (From Holidays.net)When I think of Hanukkah, I think mainly of the lighting of the candles of the menorah, not the lighting of lamps with oil. The parable of the 10 virgins says the wise brides kept enough "oil in their lamps":Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Matthew 25:1-6This could be a possible clue that the rapture is related to this holyday (a lot of people don't realize that the word holiday comes from God's decree to keep the 7 holy-days. Another clue is the word manifest, with fest being the root of festival--in other words, Jesus is manifested to man through the feasts.)Just days away.Steve Mullin
