"Another subtle possible Rapture clue"

Hi, John -

I recently listened to about half of a highly recommended 2-hour "Hagman & Hagman" report in which Steve Quayle read a "prophecy" from one of his followers, basically condemning the idea of a pre-trib rapture.  I am extremely leery of anyone claiming to get direct quotes from God, as my belief is that if it's a true revelation with additional information that is not in the Bibles we now hold, that the only proper thing would be to staple these new revelations into the back of our Bibles.  This "prophecy" was clearly purported to be new revelation.  Caveat emptor:  these are the days of deception.

I have also noticed that those who condemn pre-trib teachers often accuse them of profiteering by marketing their books, CDs and DVDs.  At the same time, the post-trib crowd seems to have no problem selling freeze-dried food (7-year supply) and water filters and other "survival" gear.  I'm just sayin' ......

That said, I took a "chronological" view of the Psalms.  We are all anticipating, and I believe are viewing, the fulfillment of Psalm 83.  Many people, myself included, believe the events of Psalm 83 will set up the confirmation of the covenant and specifically, Israel living at peace in their land without gates or bars - which is the description of Israel just before the Magog invasion of Ezekiel 38.

If we're right so far, and if there is no pre-trib rapture, and if there is a chronological flow to the Psalms, we would expect Psalm 84 to be along the lines of "protect us from our enemies" or "save us from the consuming famine" or "preserve us when your wrath falls on the world" or something like that.  On the other hand, if this is near in time to the rapture, one might expect "how lovely is Your tabernacle" or "blessed are those who dwell in Your house" or even "better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere."  Not a proof for a pre-trib or pre-wrath event, but still a hint.

On another note:  Renee Moses posted (Hanukkah Rapture (December 8-16, 2012) - DID JESUS TELL US THE TIMING OF THE RAPTURE?) that significant events are suggested for November 29 and December 9th (Kislev 15 & 25).  She derives these dates from the history of the Maccabees.  The ten-day span between these two dates strongly suggests the "ten days of tribulation" in Revelation 2:10.  The timespan does not mean the trib only lasts ten days, but that after ten days "something" happens.  It also indicates that some who go into this ten-day period won't survive.

Hope to see you soon.

Best,

Steve
