"In the form of" is the same as "like", but it is equal:

Philippians 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

Jesus was not "like" God, but he is God, he was God, he was in the form of God,

and therefore thought it not robbery to be equal with God, because he is God, not another "like" God, but God himself.

Therefore the Holy Ghost is not equal with a bird, because he is not a bird.
