"eternal security vs OSAS attitude"

(I realize that many who do not believe in eternal security, have wondered if those who do believe that, also have the OSAS attitude.
The OSAS attitude is probaby best summed up by the following:)

Jeremiah 7:9 Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not;
10 And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?

(Since there were some in Israel who thought that, there may also be those in the church age who think that way.
Some early church teachers thought that this is what the Nicolaitans were about.  btw -  the idea that Nicolaitan was only about clergy power over the people came much later.

Apparently, the Nicolaitans were antinomians, not pro-grace, or hyper-grace, but actually anti-law.
Simply because we don't need to keep the commandments to be saved, absolutely doesn't mean that Jesus is now okay with us ignoring them altogether.
If someone who is saved, is honoring their mother and father, doesn't mean that they are doing so in order to "stay saved", but are rather led of the Spirit to do so.
But to think that everyone who believes in the doctrine of eternal security is antinomian,
i.e. that they all now believe that since they're under grace, that they can do whatever they want, since they're going to heaven,
that is a hideous belief, and one that apparently Paul was accused of:)

Romans 3:8 And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.

Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

(From line 3:8, above, it looks like people who actually believe that way, are not even saved.
However, in my life, even before I was saved, I don't remember ever meeting, or hearing someone, who thought anywhere near as brazenly abominable as that.
Maybe someone on FiveDoves knows of some people who actually think that way.
But over the years, I've met a lot of people, yet no one ever said anything remotely sounding like that.)

(Wouldn't that be as horrible as some teenager saying, "I'm my father's son, so I can get drunk, take his car, crack it up, and think nothing of it, since I'm still his son"?
That would be a terribly wicked way to think.)

(Rather, those whom I know, that believe in eternal security, also believe in walking in the Spirit, for the same reason - they see both in the scriptures.
Eternal security is a doctrine, and sanctification is a doctrine.)
