John and Doves,

Most of the Western States are in severe drought and that includes  California.

Governor Gavin Newsom has declared parts of Northern California as in drought stage, and due to lack of rain and hot temperatures, he will soon declare all of  California to be in drought stage. 

Our rich valleys that yield so much vegetation will be now be producing less. 

Much of our agricultural areas are owned  by foreigners 

(or by Bill Gates.)

One wonders how many fruits and vegetables will wind up on our own home plates.

As farmers go out of business, Mr. Gates can obtain more land.

Drought always brings fires, and we may be in for a record year. I hope and *pray*  that it won't be so.
