The Ten Virgins  Mathew 25.  Are the ten virgins representing the church or Israel?

If the ten Virgins represent Israel , and Abigail represents the bride of Christ, there is a passage in 1 Samuel  25 vs 42 that is interesting -

And Abigail hasted, and arose, and rode upon an ass, with five damsels of hers that went after her; and she went after the messengers of David, and became his wife.

 

The five damsels could be a shadow of the five wise virgins? -  they came  after Abigail – I think this could be  a shadow of the bride going to meet the bridegroom,  followed by the wise virgins ( Israel)

 Another thought -  Abigail also went after the messengers (  messengers could be shadow of the prophets foretelling us about Jesus coming for His bride) ??   I might be wrong but I would love to hear your thoughts on this?
