"Biblical Proof of a Future '2nd half' of Daniel's 70th Week"

Biblical Evidence of a ‘Future 2nd Half’ of Daniel’s 70th Week

Modern prophecy teachers speak of the existence of a future seven year tribulation period preceding the return of Christ’s second coming. They base this assumption on a popular interpretation of Daniel 9:27, referring to the word ‘week’ (Heptad =7 years).

Dan 9:27  And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Simply put, their popular interpretation of this Scripture states a future antichrist (he) will make or sign (confirm) a seven year (week) peace treaty (covenant) with Israel (many). They teach the true church, the body of Christ, will be raptured to heaven before this antichrist reveals himself at the signing of that peace covenant. Then, after this seven year peace treaty has been signed, world peace will prevail for ‘three years and six months’, at which time the antichrist will place the abomination of desolation in a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem,  commencing the final ‘three years and six months’ of this seven year tribulation period (week), which will represent total hell on earth!

This all sounds well and good, especially since they teach Christians will be in heaven with Jesus during this future ‘seven year tribulation period’, BUT is it true? Surely this widely taught and accepted end time teaching is clearly backed up by Scripture, right?

The reality is, nowhere in the Authorized King James Bible will you find the popular phrases ‘seven year tribulation period’, ‘tribulation period’, or even ‘seven years’ for that matter. Don’t you think that’s a little strange such a popular teaching cannot be found in the Bible? Isn’t this causing a ‘red flag’ to go up here?

What you will find however are the phrases ‘three years and six months’, ‘a thousand two hundred and threescore days’, ‘forty two months’, and ‘time, times, and a half time’, each representing a three and a half year span of time, or half of a week!

Well surely the Book of Revelation says something of this future ‘seven year tribulation period’ right? WRONG! The Book of Revelation ‘reveals’ only half of that seven year time frame has been set aside for future fulfillment, and here is proof:

Rev 11:2  But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given

unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

Rev 11:3  And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

Rev 12:6  And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days

Rev 13:5  And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

Now some say in the Book of Revelation, you must add a couple of these ‘three and a half year’ time periods together to make that future ‘seven year tribulation period’ exist. However if you use that logic, then one must add all four separate ‘three and a half year’ time periods together which then would equal fourteen years! This is not complicated, nor is it rocket science. The Holy Spirit authored the King James Bible, so a person with as little as an eighth grade education can read, study, and understand God’s Word: his love letter to his children! If Almighty God had reserved a future ‘seven year tribulation period’ to preempt his second Coming, he would have made it clear in the Scriptures!

As a matter of fact, Almighty God went to a lot of trouble to warn the last generation of the future  trials and tribulations that precede his Second Coming: 1Cor 10:11  Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

Three Years and Six Months

The phrase ‘three years and six months’ is listed only twice in the King James Bible, and both

are found in the New Testament: first in Luke 4:25  But I tell you of a truth, many widows were

in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when

great famine was throughout all the land; and last in James 5:17  Elias was a man subject

to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on

the earth by the space of three years and six months.

The question I have is why did Jesus want us to associate Elijah (Elias in Greek) with the phrase ‘three years and six months’?  Well for one thing Jesus clearly stated in Mark 9:12 that …Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things… So in the context of this ‘three years and six months’ section, we will need to go to 1Kings 17 to find the answer to that question. However, by nature, I’m the type of person that likes to read the ‘back of the book first’ (to see where it’s going), therefore I want to know what the last ‘three years and six months’ phrase found in James 5:17 is implying!

First of all the ‘context’ of the fifth Chapter of James is all about the Second Coming of Christ, and in James 5:17 we find the phrase…three years and six months… I have heard it said a ‘text without a context is just a pretext’! Well clearly, the Holy Spirit wants us to associate the text ‘three years and six months’ found in James 5:17 with the context of ‘the coming of the Lord’ found in James 5:7! Please read the entire fifth chapter of James for yourself, and you will find ample evidence the context is … the last days(5:3), …eat your flesh as it were fire (5:3), …miseries that shall come upon you(5:1), … your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten (5:2), …fraud, crieth: and the cries (5:4), … a day of slaughter (5:5), Ye have condemned and killed the just (5:6), Be patient therefore brethren, unto the coming of the Lord… until he receive the early and latter rain (5:7), … the coming of the Lord draweth nigh (5:8), … the judge standeth before the door (5:9), Take my brethren, the prophets… for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience (5:10), …endure…the end of the lord (5:11) But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath (Islam/Allah = mark of the beast?)… lest ye fall into condemnation (5:12), …afflicted (5:13), …sick (5:14), … the lord shall raise him up (5:15), … the space of three years and six months (5:17), … you do err from the truth (5:18), Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death (5:20).

‘Three Years and Six Months’ Time Referred to in 1Kings 17

So my question to you Lord is what are you trying to teach us about the last days preceding your

Second Coming (James 5), by using the example of Elijah the Prophet’s ‘three years and six

month’ span of time in Israel, found in 1Kings 17? Well, according to 1Cor 10:11, clearly the Lord

wants us to use Elijah the Prophet’s life as a ‘type’ of pattern (ensample) to be used as a

‘warning’ (admonition) unto this generation ‘upon whom the ends of the world are come’!

1Cor 10:11  Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for

our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

Now we already know from Luke 4:25 there were ‘many widows’ in Israel (and consequently many dead husbands), the ‘heaven was shut up’ and a ‘great famine’ covered all Israel for three years and six months! At the start of that ‘three year and six month’ time period, God told Elijah in 1King 17:3 to: Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.

The word Cherith is translated from the Herbrew word ker-eeth’ (Strong’s # H3747), which comes from the root word kaw-rath’ (Strong’s # H3772) and literally means to cut or ‘CUT OFF’. Interestingly, this same Hebrew ‘root’ word ‘kaw-rath’ (Strong’s #H3772), is used to signify the completion (CUT OFF) of 69 ½ weeks of Daniel’s 70 weeks at Christ’s crucifixion! Daniel 9:26 And after[1] (how long after Messiah’s baptism/anointing was the crucifiction?) threescore and two weeks shall Messiah (meaning anointed) be cut off (kaw-rath’ #H3772), but not for himself.

It is significant, therefore, the BEGINNING of Elijah’s ‘three years and six months’ span of time in 1Kings 17 at the brook Cherith (cut off), is related to the END (cut off ‘kaw-rath’ #3772) of Messiah’s ‘three years and six month’ ministry that began at Christ’s baptism! Daniel 9:27 And he (Messiah) shall confirm (Rom 15:8, Gal 3:17) the covenant (Abrahamic Covenant) with many for one WEEK (7 years): and in the MIDST (3 ½ years) of the WEEK (7 years) he (Messiah) shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease (Mat 27:51, Heb 10:8-12), and for the overspreading of abominations he (Messiah) shall make it desolate (Mat 23:38), even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate (Zec 13:8 in Israel).

Then, after a while, the brook dries up and God tells Elijah in 1Kings 17:9 Arise, get thee to

Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow

woman there to sustain thee. Interestingly, the word Zarephath (Strong’s #6886) is translated

from the Hebrew word tsaw-ref-ath', meaningrefinement’, like a gold refinery! Need I remind

you it takes a lot of ‘fire’ to refine metal, and Zarephath, located north of Israel, in present day

Hezbollah country, to me represents the fire of God’s refinery that will be used to purify Israel in

the great tribulation, where two-thirds of Israel (4,000,000+) will die, and the other one-third

will be purified! Zec 13:8-9  And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two

parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.  And I will bring the

third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is

tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they

shall say, The LORD is my God. In Zec 13:9 above, the words ‘refine’ and ‘refined’ are translated

from the Hebrew root word tsaw-raf (Strong’s # H6884), which is the same Hebrew root word

Zerepath is translated from!

So now Elijah, after ‘a while’ (months?) goes to Zerepath, where he meets a widow woman and

her son, both so distraught they are at the point of death (1Kings 17:10-12)! Then to shorten the

story Elijah was hungry and asked the widow woman to make him a cake. She hesitantly obeyed,

and God caused her meal and oil to miraculously multiply many days to feed the three of them.

Then in the process of time, the Widow’s Son dies, and we pick the story back up in 1Kings 17:17

23  And it came to pass after these things, that the son of the woman, the mistress of the house,

fell sick; and his sickness was so sore, that there was no breath left in him.  And she said unto

Elijah, What have I to do with thee, O thou man of God? art thou come unto me to call my sin

To remembrance, and to slay my son?  And he said unto her, Give me thy son. And he took him

out of her bosom, and carried him up into a loft, where he abode, and laid him upon his own

bed. And he cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, hast thou also brought evil upon

the widow with whom I sojourn, by slaying her son?  And he stretched himself upon the child

three times, and cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, I pray thee, let this child's

soul come into him again.  And the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child

came into him again, and he revived. And Elijah took the child, and brought him down out of

the chamber into the house, and delivered him unto his mother: and Elijah said, See, thy son

liveth.

So in the ‘three years and six month’ (Luke 4:25, James 5:17) context of the Second Coming of

Christ (James 5), I want to know when to expect the rapture is going to take place. In 1Kings

17:19, we read And he (Elijah meaning Jehovah/Yaw) said unto her, Give me thy son. And ‘he

took him out of her bosom, and CARRIED HIM UP INTO A LOFT, WHERE HE ABODE, and

laid him upon his own bed. Then, We read in 1Kings 17:21  And he stretched himself upon the

child THREE TIMES (one time signifies one year in Scripture, therefore three times equals three

years), and cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, I pray thee, let this child's soul

come into him again.

Then notice in 1Kings 17:23  And Elijah TOOK THE CHILD, AND BROUGHT HIM DOWN OUT

OF THE CHAMBER into the house, and delivered him unto his mother: and Elijah said, See,

thy son liveth. I believe, in the context of the ‘three years and six months’ (second half of

Daniel’s 70th week), this represents the Body of Christ returning to earth with Jesus in the fall of

some future year: ‘three years’ (three times) after the rapture previously occurred at Rosh

Hashanah! At this time, the great tribulation which started a little over five months earlier in

the middle of Passover, will be ‘shortened’ by the ‘Pre-Wrath’ Rapture/Lord’s wrath.

Conclusion

According to abundant Scriptural evidence therefore, we can conclude Almighty God has set

aside a future ‘three and a half year time period’ to finish his redemptive work with Israel (Dan

9:24), and proclaim the day of vengeance of our God (Isa 61:2), consequently bringing to an

end the ‘times of the gentiles’, before he sets his Son Jesus on the Throne of David for a

thousand years! Because Daniel’s 70th Week (seven years) was ‘cut in half’ at the cross, we can

know for sure the other ‘half of the 70th Week’ (3 ½ years), has been reserved for future

fulfillment!

The New Testament is a reliable witness (2Cor 13:1) to that fact, because nowhere does it

mention a future ‘seven year tribulation period’, only half of that amount! This fact, therefore,

presents a major problem for the majority of Christians today, because they have been ‘pre-

programed’ to believe the antichrist (posing as a European politician wearing a three piece suit),

will deceitfully make a seven year peace treaty with Israel in the FALL of some future year, only

to break it three and a half years later, by placing the abomination of desolation in the holy

of holies of a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem, triggering a three and one half year time of great

tribulation and slaughter in Israel!

Oh and by the way, according to this ‘popular’ interpretation, the church won’t be here anyway

to see any of this, because we will have been raptured (pre-tribulation) just before the

antichrist reveals himself by signing that seven year peace treaty with Israel!

The reality is, however, in the SPRING of some future year: in the middle of Passover[2], a

Brutal Islamic leader named the Mahdi, and scripturally referred to as the Assyrian (Micah 5:5),

will invade Israel from the north of Israel (Dan 11:40-45), forming a Middle East centric Islamic

Caliphate, slaughtering over four million Jews (Zec 13:8), and forcing a remnant of over two

million Jews to flee into the Negev Desert, located in southern Israel below Beersheba, where

they will be refined and purified in the wilderness (Rev 12:6) for three and a half years. This time

of ‘great tribulation’ (Jacob’s trouble) most likely will last a little over five months, at which time

the commencement of ‘the Day of the Lord’s Wrath’, will shorten the time of great tribulation

(Mat 24:21-22) on the Day of Atonement!

Fortunately, for the ‘born again’ child of God, the ‘Pre-Wrath’ Rapture (1Th 5:9), will remove the

believer (Rev 7:9-17) who has been ‘watching for the bridegrooms return’ (Mat 25:1-13),

sometime during Rosh Hashanah: the ‘two day’ Feast of Trumpets found in Lev 23:23-25!

So now, you are going to haft to make a choice between ‘two paths’ of belief, which are diametrically opposed to each other!  The ‘popular path’, is broadly taught and received by a great majority of Christians today: which simply states a pre-tribulation rapture will remove the Church to Heaven BEFORE the antichrist (‘he’ in Dan 9:27) makes a 7-year peace covenant with Israel (Daniel’s 70th Week).

The second path of belief is unpopular, narrow, and hard to be received by the modern, Laodacian Church. Few Christians today believe that only 3 ½ years (or half of a week) of Daniel’s 70th Week is yet to be fulfilled in the future, which consequently, must begin in the spring of some future year in Passover. Because the ‘he’ in Daniel 9:27 is Christ, there will be NO future ‘7- year tribulation period’, NO antichrist making a 7- year peace covenant, and NO ‘Pre-Tribulation Rapture’, etc. The Church will be on earth during the 5-month or so time of ‘great tribulation’, unfolding in the Middle East. The ‘Pre-Wrath Rapture’ will remove the Church to Heaven (Rev 7:13-17) before the Wrath of God is poured out during the 7- trumpet and 7- bowl judgments’ that  commence in Rev 8:1. Therefore friend, …I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Deut 30:19. Please earnestly pray Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path…Psalm 27:11.

[1] According to Daniel 9:25, the 69 weeks of years (7+62=69) of Daniel’s 70 weeks, ended at Messiah’s baptism at the BEGINNING of his ‘three years and six months’ earthly ministry,  NOT 3 ½ years later at his triumphal entry into Jerusalem (Luke 19:42 ), which occurred at the END of his public ministry, as is ‘popularly’ taught today! Dan 9:25  Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks… The Scripture confirms Messiah was anointed by the Holy Ghost at Christ’s baptism: Act 10:36-38 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:) That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;   How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. Therefore, according to Daniel 9:24-27, the ‘cut off’ (Cherith) occurred 3 ½ years AFTER the baptism, thereby ending 69 ½ weeks of Daniel’s 70 weeks at the cross, leaving a final ‘three years and six months’ (3 ½ year) span of time to be fulfilled in the future during the last days (James 5:3). This simple mathematical conclusion, is in perfect agreement with the 3 ½ years set forth in the Book of Revelation and James Chapter 5!

[2] Please refer to the attached time line below (not to scale), which will conclude the final 3 ½ years of the ‘70 Weeks of Daniel’ (Dan 9:24-27), beginning in the middle of some future Passover, AFTER 2014 A.D.! And the Spirit and the bride say come, And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come… Rev 22:17.
