I think it is interesting to note something about this map found here:

What isn't noted, that I thought might be on there.

There is no notation of a St. Madrid Quake or quake zone. In fact there are two "Safe Zones" that are marked in the quake hot zone, hugging the Mississippi River at Memphis and into far west Kentucky.
