I listened to Gary Stearman interview Jonathan Cahn (author of the Harbinger) on Prophecy in the News.  There was a very brief mention of how the American name of the sycamore is the buttonwood tree.  For those of you familiar with Jonathan Cahn and the significance of the sycamore, you already know the prophetic implications.

 

From something Jonathan Cahn said, I was made curious enough to look up the buttonwood tree and its significance.

 

"The Buttonwood Agreement, which took place on May 17, 1792, started the New York Stock & Exchange Board now called the New York Stock Exchange. This agreement was signed by twenty-four stock brokers outside of 68 Wall Street New York under a buttonwood tree." (wikipedia)

 

I wonder about the May 17th date.  I know the theme of the Harbinger is God's judgement, but I think it would be wrong to jump to any conclusions.  Let's just be prayerful.
