Doing a search I found that Clay Cantrell has posted quite a lot on the number 254.
 
I also found that 254 = (10 x 10) + (6+6+6) + (6+6+6) + (6+6+6) + (10 x 10).
Nice and symmetrical.
 
Also 2 x 5 x 4 = 40.
