Nehemiah 8:18 Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly, according unto the manner.
The last day here is the last day of the feast of trumpets.

Jesus raises - resurrects believers on the last day of the feast of trumpets?

 

John 6:39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

 

John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

 

John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

 

John 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

 

John 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
Jesus calls to come to Him on the last day of the feast of trumpets. the last day is also called that great day.

 

John 11:24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

 

John 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
God's Word judges the unbelievers on the last day.

 

Zephaniah 1:14 The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. 15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, 16 A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers.
The last day - that great day is a day of deliverance for His believers and destruction for unbelievers. Resurrection - rapture before wrath.

 

Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
As well as unbelieving humans, the fallen angels are also judged during that Great day of God's wrath.

 

Revelation 6:17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

that Great day = the last day of the feast of trumpets, John 7:37.

that Great day = the day of His wrath.

Revelation 16:14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

This battle is armageddon in that Great day of God's wrath.

 

These verses talk about the dead being resurrected on the last day.

Could those belonging to God and who are still alive at His coming on the clouds, join those who were dead, along with God, on the eight day in a solemn assembly, Nehemiah 8:18 above.
