God does not need houses or temples to dwell in---the entire universe is God's house, "the heaven of heavens cannot contain Him" and His infinite Spirit can not apparently be confined in any way to man-made dwelling places:
Thus says the LORD: "Heaven is my throne and the earth is my footstool; what is the house which you would build for me, and what is the place of my rest? All these things my hand has made, and so all these things are mine, says the LORD. But this is the man to whom I will look, he that is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word." (Isaiah 66:1)
"Am I a God at hand, says the LORD, and not a God afar off? Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? says the LORD. Do I not fill heaven and earth? says the LORD. (Jeremiah 23:23, 24)
Yet in spite of these clear teachings throughout the Bible that God does not live in man-made buildings there is an apparent paradox the moment we join the Jews in the wilderness at Mount Sinai: God Himself, at Mount Sinai gave Moses specific instructions concerning the building of a remarkable tent, or tabernacle, in which, He, the Most High God would dwell:
And let them make me a sanctuary [Hebrew, miqdosh, sanctuary, i.e., a holy place], that I may dwell in their midst. According to all that I show you concerning the pattern of the tabernacle [mishkan, dwelling-place. This word gives rise to the Hebrew Shekinah which denotes the personal presence of the Divine God], and of all its furniture, so you shall make it...And see that you make them after the pattern for them, which is being shown you on the mountain. (Exodus 25:8,9; 40)
Solomon's temple was not only magnificently beautiful
but adorned within with
many billions of dollars in gold and silver, to
say nothing of the
monies and temple treasures stored in underground rooms
beneath.
For thus says the LORD of hosts: Once again, in a little while, I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land; and I will shake all nations, so that the treasures of all nations shall come in, and I will fill this house with splendor, says the LORD of hosts. The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, says the LORD of hosts. The latter splendor of this house shall be greater than the former, says the LORD of hosts; and in this place I will give prosperity, says the LORD of hosts.'" (Haggai 2:1-9)
The New Testament's bold assertion that man is the dwelling place---the temple---of God begins with the announcement of the Apostle John that the Second Person of the godhead had now become a man and come down to earth as Immanuel---"God with us."
And the Word became flesh and dwelt (Greek: eskenosen = tabernacled) among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father. (John 1:14)
Shortly after at Passover in Jerusalem Jesus confirmed that He was in some special sense the actual temple of God, greater and more important that the Second Temple he was visiting:
The Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. In the temple he found those who were selling oxen and sheep and pigeons, and the money-changers at their business. And making a whip of cords, he drove them all, with the sheep and oxen, out of the temple; and he poured out the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables. And he told those who sold the pigeons, "Take these things away; you shall not make my Father's house a house of trade." His disciples remembered that it was written, "Zeal for thy house will consume me." The Jews then said to him, "What sign have you to show us for doing this?" Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." The Jews then said, "It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?" But he spoke of the temple of his body. When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this; and they believed the scripture and the word which Jesus had spoken. (John 2:13-22)
There are 2
points I want to make here:
1. WE are the SILVER
AND
GOLD. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit, the
place where He lives.
The Lord tells
Haggai on the last day of Tabernacles that He will shake
the heavens and the
earth and that the silver and the gold are HIS.
He will take the silver and the
gold at the Rapture. The first time that silver and gold
were put into the Lord’s
treasury was on the 7th day of Unleavened
Bread, when the walls of
Jericho fell:
Joshua 6: 15 On the seventh day, they got up at daybreak and marched around the city seven times in the same manner, except that on that day they circled the city seven times. 16 The seventh time around, when the priests sounded the trumpet blast, Joshua commanded the army, “Shout! For the Lord has given you the city! 17 The city and all that is in it are to be devoted to the Lord. Only Rahab the prostitute and all who are with her in her house shall be spared, because she hid the spies we sent. 18 But keep away from the devoted things, so that you will not bring about your own destruction by taking any of them. Otherwise you will make the camp of Israel liable to destruction and bring trouble on it. 19 All the silver and gold and the articles of bronze and iron are sacred to the Lord and must go into his treasury.”
20 When the trumpets sounded, the army shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the men gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so everyone charged straight in, and they took the city. 21 They devoted the city to the Lord and destroyed with the sword every living thing in it—men and women, young and old, cattle, sheep and donkeys…
24 Then they burned the whole city and everything in it, but they put the silver and gold and the articles of bronze and iron into the treasury of the Lord’s house. 25 But Joshua spared Rahab the prostitute, with her family and all who belonged to her, because she hid the men Joshua had sent as spies to Jericho—and she lives among the Israelites to this day.
I believe these events are
foreshadowing the FIRSTFRUITS
rapture. The 7th day of Unleavened Bread is April 1 on the Jewish calendar.
The New Moon
was sighted 2 days late in Israel, so the
7th day of Unleavened
Bread MIGHT BE April 3 on God's calendar.
These are EXTREMELY
important days to
watch for the
Rapture. If
nothing happens next
week,
then we should
look at the 7th day of
the "Second
Passover", which
should be within
the first few
days of May.
2. Jesus Christ IS the NEW TEMPLE. He was showing the Jews that He would destroy their temple (again) and that HE WAS the NEW TEMPLE, the place where God lived:
For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. Colossians 1:19-20
Where was the place where this NEW TEMPLE started? It was in Bethlehem. This was the first place on the earth where God chose to have HIS SON, THIS NEW TEMPLE begin. The Church of the Nativity is said to be built right over the very place where this NEW TEMPLE first made His entrance into the world. This is a HOLY PLACE. There are references in various news articles that I have read that this is THE MOST SACRED, HOLY SITE IN CHRISTENDOM.
This HOLY PLACE is built like a fortress and was desecrated by armed forces. These armed forces also stopped the daily communion, which Catholics believe IS the daily sacrifice, and IS the literal body and blood of Christ. Scripture is pointing us to THIS TEMPLE, THIS HOLY PLACE as the place where the abomination will take place.

"His armed forces will rise up to desecrate the temple
fortress and will
abolish the daily sacrifice. Then they will set up the
abomination that causes
desolation.
The Scripture is pointing to armed forces rising up to desecrate this holy place and taking away the daily sacrifice. THEN, after that, at this same holy place, you will see the abomination that causes desolation set up.
When Obama went to the Church
of the Nativity, he stood in the grotto, the very place
where Jesus was born: the
very place where God chose His Son, HIS TEMPLE,
to start. THIS IS THE HOLY PLACE!! The Temple in
Jerusalem
was part of the OLD COVENANT. Obama doesn’t care
to go to THAT place and
declare himself as “god”. The glory has left that place.
He wanted to go to the
place where the NEW TEMPLE started. He went
there to declare to God and to
those with eyes to see and ears to hear that HE IS
THE NEW MESSIAH. He is
imitating Christ because he wants to BE THE CHRIST,
the “Prince of Peace”. HE
STOOD IN THE HOLY PLACE to defy Jesus Christ and
to show that unlike the “wise
kings from the east”, he is a KING who will NOT
BOW HIS KNEE. You can even see this expression of
defiance on his face. This is the only picture that I
can find with Obama in the "grotto". It's as if he is
saying to the world and to the Christians, "Here I am.
This moment was prophesied to happen thousands of years
ago. Do you see me? Do you understand what I am saying?
I am the new "Messiah" and I will not bow to your GOD."
Obama is the LAWLESS ONE.
America has "fallen away" from the Lord. They are now
having hearings in the SUPREME COURT - the top
law of the land - to allow GAY MARRIAGE.
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 - Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God.
Obama celebrated Passover with some Jewish people this week. What part did he play? PHARAOH!!!! All of the Pharaoh's claimed to be GOD. "He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God." Jesus told us that when we see this event take place, this ABOMINATION, that the Jews need to immediately flee to the mountains. Jerusalem will be trampled on for 1260 days, while the Bride of Christ, the FIRSTFRUITS, are protected for the same 1260 days and the 2 witnesses - those Christians left behind, including those who become Christians during the Great Tribulation, and the Jewish people who come to Christ - they will mourn in sackcloth for the same 1260 days. But they will also have a powerful anointing from God, like Moses and Elijah did, and will reach many souls for the Kingdom during the last 1260 days (or until they are killed). This desolation is most likely to take place next week, between April 1-4. If not, we should expect it to happen during the "Second Passover", in the first week of May. Either way, there is very little time left. Purify your hearts. Warn your friends. And if you live in Jerusalem and are not a follower of Christ, then get out immediately.
