Hi Doves,

What exciting times we are in! I’ve been a “Dove” since 1998 but I have to admit, our watching has never reached such a fever pitch!  March looks so incredibly exciting!

I feel compelled today, however, to have a kind of “family chat” with my fellow Doves. I hope you will bear with me.

As I mentioned, I have been with John and the Doves for over 15 years now. The Five Doves website is unlike any other place on the Internet for serious watchers. It is a source of great spiritual wealth to hungry watchers. The format is “letters”, not a forum with “conversations” that a few monitors watch as they have time in order to keep things civil. For those of you who do not know, John Tng, a humble servant, has to not only read each letter, but painstakingly convert them to html to post on his site. It is a time consuming job for which he never complains, and never seeks recognition. (In fact, he is probably cringing at me right now for saying this, LOL…sorry, John!)  John also has a family and a career! I am honestly amazed that he finds the time to single-handedly maintain this site!  I know for him it is a labor of love and he would never complain.

With that said, I am asking you, my brothers and sisters to please pray before sending a letter. This wonderful site should not be used to argue or prove your point with your brothers and sisters here. The letters shouldn’t be addressed to each other individually, but to all Doves for our mutual edification.   John simply does not have time nor I’m sure the desire to post letters that are written in the flesh.  I have not spoken with him about this, but the Lord put it on my heart and I feel compelled to address this. When I log in and see so many posts my first thought is “poor John, how does he find time for this?”  This site should be for articles and Bible studies relevant to our soon coming King, again, for our mutual edification!  Ask yourself if your letter does that before hitting the send button.

Thanks for letting me share my heart with you. Having been part of this flock of wonderful Doves for so long I feel like we are family. I guess I also feel protective of our leader as I’ve so admired his diligence in serving the Lord all these years - with never a complaint!  Let’s stick together, pray for John and continue to edify each other as we look up …..for surely our redemption draweth nigh!
