The one on the right is a sumerian bird- it always has those legs hanging down as well.  Can you see the similarity at all? It's the first thing I thought of when you posted the revised one.  And the sun burst matches the circle in the middle as well.  I listened to a really good explanation from an educated catholic- don't believe he is a humble servant.  He is a scholared jesuit with two doctorates.  The jesuits are marxists.
