"If the Jubilees were to be every 50 years..."

Hello, John and Doves,

If the Jubilees were to be every 50 years...

The shmita counts would still continue uninterrupted.  Proof?

On our calendar, the calendar cycles every 28 years, using 14 different calendars.
The are seven for regular years, and seven for leap years.  Every 400 years, there is a hiccup, because years that are divisible by 400 are not leap years.

All that is to say that the days of the week parade, one after the other, ad infinitum.  In the same way, the shmita counts are uninterrupted.  If it were not so, then every 7 weeks, we would have a "someday" to be the 50th day!!!  Maybe someday, but not today!!!  LOL

Logically, if the shmita counts are uninterrupted--and they are, then after just 7 jubilees, 50 years apart, there could be nothing but sabbath years every single year!  God would have to destroy the world, because no one could work!  He'd get the death penalty, whoever worked!  No food!  Starvation!

No, I rather think that we should:

Take a look at what Stefen Lopez has to say:  http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/aug2010/stefenl83.htm.
