Hello, John and Doves,
God does not change His mind, once
He has given you a gift.
It is written,
"For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God
[is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Keep in mind that,
"For the gifts and calling of God [are] without
repentance."
Put another way, Jesus said,
"All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and
him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out."
Once you have been saved, you
should always confess your sins, and repent from them,
knowing that Jesus is always ready to resume full
fellowship with you.
A person who keeps on confessing
and repenting of any and all sins cannot be lost,
because it is written,
" 'No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me
draws him; and I will raise him up at the last
day.' "
Not only that, but it is written,
"In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being
predestined according to the purpose of Him who works
all things according to the counsel of His will,
"that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the
praise of His glory.
"In Him you also [trusted], after you heard the word
of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also,
having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit
of promise,
"who is the guarantee of our inheritance until
the redemption of the purchased possession, to the
praise of His glory."
In short, Jesus says about those
who have trusted Him with their whole heart,
" 'My Father, who has given [them] to Me, is greater
than all; and no one is able to snatch [them] out of
My Father's hand.
" 'I and [My] Father are one.' "
"Are one" means both being of one
accord, but also speaks of the mystery of the Holy
Trinity, the Father, the Son, and the Ruach Ha Kodesh
[the Holy Spirit].
If you have problems with the
eternal security of the believer, just realize that God
doesn't like to lose.
He choose you in order for you to
choose Him.
It is written,
"We love Him because
He first loved us."
