Because of the different views concerning this passage I too had to do some research. I found this pdf file of the Geneva Bible
dated 1560/ 1599.
It reads more clearly than the KJV. Here are the links. One is the book of 2 Thessalonians, and the other is to access the Whole Bible in pdf form. It is unknown why the KJV translated it "the Falling Away " rather than " The Departing "

please notice that verse 3 & 4 are ONE sentence, and " the falling away" is translated as " The Departing ".
