"Donna Danna re Going
Back in Time is Coming Home"
Hi Donna D, John and Doves,
What a beautiful song. I loved the imagery too. It all made my
heart ache. Yearning for the innocence and joy of yester-year.
Those days are certainly gone. Home-made ice-cream and porch
swings. So very comforting. Without attempting to spoil the
magic of those days, we must remember what those good times were
built on. A world that had experienced brutal war after war. The
American dream came at the cost of so many who were down-trodden
by the cruelty and madness of Europe at the time. People from
all walks of life, that risked it all to gain freedom. Freedom
from starvation, serfdom, religious entities (i.e. the Roman
Catholic church). America offered so much future promise.

My parents were children of WW2. They were teenagers when London
was a nightmare of bombs, dead bodies and decay. A time of
deprivation and hardship. Yet their memories were full of the
comradery of those days. Of how everyone pulled together. The
sad fact is that war and hardship reshapes a society for the
better. A society without God, that is. Our pockets of joy on
the timeline of life, seem to be few and far between. It seems
we are given glimpses of what could, and will, be.
May there be world wide repentance soon. No matter what it takes
to bring our LORD Jesus back, we need to endure. Almighty God
will give us all the courage and patience and guidance that we
need.
God's Blessings to all.
