"Lewis Brackett..the Gospel"

I am a little under the weather but let me at least address some of your question. Can salvation be that simple? I believe it can, there are times in Scripture where the Lord told the disciples that for one to enter, they must have the faith of a little child. One of the best definitions that I have ever heard for Faith, is taking God at His Word. There are several avenues I could take at this moment, but for me I come at this from a Pauline perspective. Paul is the Apostle to the Gentiles; he is also called the Apostle of Grace. Paul mentions Grace like 101 times in his Epistles, if you include Hebrews, I believe it is 109, Peter mentions Grace I believe 12 times, and one or two of the Gospel writers don't mention it at all, and Luke mentions it I believe 17 times. Why does Luke mention it so many times perhaps because he accompanied Paul. I am going from memory with the statistics, but I believe they are fairly accurate.                                                                                                                                                                      If Paul wrote Hebrews, then he wrote about 51% of the New Testament, and without going into his full history, the Bible records that the Ascended Lord of glory took him to the backside of the desert, perhaps for approximately 3 years of individual tutoring? Mysteries were revealed to the Apostle Paul that were never revealed to the 12 Apostles during the Lord's earthly ministry. Romans 2:16 states "In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my Gospel".  What is Paul's Gospel? 1st Corinthians 15:1-4, which is very similar to Romans 10:9. Paul lays out exactly what the Gospel is for the saving of one's soul. Paul declares and delivers to the everyone that which was given to him, you are a Sinner, Christ died for your Sins, and was Buried and Rose again on the Third Day according to Scripture, and if you keep that in memory, believe, have faith that the Lord Jesus did that for you, you will be saved.                                                                                                                                          Mr. Brackett, just a couple more points. I hope I don't go off on any rabbit trails. Search the scriptures high and low, there is no other person in scripture which mentions the Body of Christ by name, this mystery was revealed to the Apostle Paul alone. What is the Body of Christ? It is a New Creation. Paul states that there are basically Three Groups of people in this world today, we know that it basically comes down to the Redeemed and the Unredeemed, but Paul addresses Three Groups in 1 Corinthians 10:32..give no offence to the Jew, Gentile or to the Church of God. We know from Paul's other Epistles the Church of God during this dispensation of Grace, is the Body of Christ, a New Creation, which is composed of Jews and Gentiles who are baptized into the Body of Christ by the Holy Spirit, once they believe Paul's Gospel. One of my favorite verses has become 2 Corinthians 5:21, Christ became ALL MY SIN and I have become ALL HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS. In truth that is the Gospel of God for this dispensation of Grace ..as a side note I often use 1 Corinthians 10:32 for defending the Pre-trib Rapture, another of those mysteries revealed to the Apostle Paul. What happens after the Catching Away of the Body of Christ, you have the Jews in Jerusalem and a Christ rejecting, Jew hating Gentile world that basically declares, Let's destroy them and take that Land. Mr Brackett, I hope and pray this might be some help to your question....Keep Looking Up, Jimmy
