Revelation 16:18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

  19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

  20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

(It says that the earthquake is great, the greatest since the sixth day of creation.

Apparently, this earthquake is not local, but worldwide, as the great city is divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fall.)

 

Isaiah 2:12 For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:

  15 And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall,

 

Isaiah 30:25 And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.

 

(Every island is moved, and mountains flattened, swallowed up, or at least moved out of their places.

When, the cities and their high towers fall, there may be countless people either killed or trapped, buried under the debris.

When the islands move, there may be great waves, leaving many people drowning.

With the mountains, like with the city towers, there may be many killed or buried under the rocks or dirt.)

 

(This is where Jesus remembers to give Babylon his wrath.

But he doesn’t have a vial poured upon her, but rather he gives her an entire cup of wrath.

However, it is even more than a cup of wrath, it is the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

All the wrath up to this point has been small and targeted, compared to the full fury of his wrath given to Babylon.

As seen in chapters 17 & 18, Babylon made people of the earth drunken with the wine of her fornication.

Babylon herself has been drunken with the blood of the saints and martyrs of Jesus.

But now she will be drunken with the fury, madness, terror, and torment of the full wrath of Jesus.)

 

Revelation 16:21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

Revelation 6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

 

Joel 2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

 

Joel 3:15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.

 

Matthew 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

 

(The sun becomes black, and the moon becomes as blood, stars fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.

Are these stars and powers celestial spirits? Maybe. But the devil's angels had been cast out of heaven with him, in chapter 12.

However, they also very likely could be physical objects, actual stars, and powers of galaxies, super novas, and black holes.

So, in addition to stars, both kinds, falling from heaven, suddenly there is great hail falling from heaven.

However, this is like no other hailstorm in history, as the hailstones are much larger than any that ever fell in west Texas.

Every hail stone weighs a talent, which is different, depending which type of talent is considered (please check the math here!)

(Regardless, these hailstones are like the size of a beachball, except they are hard ice, falling at great speed.

Men blaspheme God, but repentance is apparently no longer being looked for, it’s all over.

The heaven departs as a scroll, when it is rolled together, apparently when the third heaven is opened, and they see Jesus:)
