PLEASE CONSIDER THIS VIEWPOINT....

The Gog-Magog War, which is exclusively upon the land and the people of Israel, is described in Luke 21:20 thru Luke 21:28. 

The "armies" spoken of in Luke 21:20 are the Gog-Magog armies . 

The "redemption", spoken of in Luke 21:28,  is the redemption of our natural bodies in  exchange for our glorified bodies which is what happens at the rapture. 

Therefore,  the Gog-Magog War  not only precedes the rapture but  it is what we are to "look-up and lift up our heads" to see as the sign that our "redemption draws near."
