"fig tree generation
confirmation, apocalypse of Peter"
Reading one of Zen Garcia's books called 'The
Great Commission III' which has a collection of Apocalyptic
writings. One is the Apocalypse of Peter. This was said to be
written in the 2nd century A.D. and was found in 1910.
The way we can be sure we are in the generation where Jesus will
come back is to know that we are in the 'Fig Tree' generation.
Jesus mentions this in Matthew 24 as he discusses the end of the
age and his second coming.
Israel became a nation in 1948. This was miraculous. No nation
had ever been dispersed and then became a nation again. Israel
is said to be the 'fig tree'. But, its nice to have direct
confirmation from another source.
"I Peter answered and said unto him, interpret unto me
concerning the fig tree, whereby we shall perceive it, for
throughout all its days doth fig tree send forth shoots, and
every year bring fruit to its master. What then meaneth the
parable of the fig tree? We knoweth not.
And the Master answered and said unto me: Understandest thou not
that the fig tree is the House of Israel?
