There have been many preachers who have spoken about the 30 minutes of silence in heaven. I heard one say, Folks; it is just 30 minutes of silence.
While that is true, I believe there is a purpose for it.
We who know the word of God, know that there is [a time] and [a purpose] for all things unto heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:17
 We also know according to Peter that "a thousand years are as unto a day, and a day as a thousand years unto the Lord. If we calculate this as comparing it with the 30 minutes of silence in heaven we come to the understanding that 30 minutes [in heaven] equates to us [here on earth] as being less than a second our time.
I was told that Polaroid estimated the click of the camera to be 11 One Hundred Thousandths of a second. I' in my humble estimation and lack of mathematical skills, came to the sum as being less than a second of our time here on earth.
I asked myself, What do I find in scripture that sounds like this?
There is only one mention of the word [Twinkling] in the whole of the scripture. It is found in 1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, [at the last TRUMP:] for [the] trumpet shall SOUND, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and [we] shall be changed.
I have written about these TWO trumpets before in some of my postings.
1. The trumpet of gathering
2. The trumpet of journeying and alarm.
These related to the TWO silver trumpets made of an whole piece of silver used in the wilderness during the Exodus of Israel from Egypt.

I considered this and dwelt upon it for a while, and it seemed that it could be perhaps our catching away. But I also considered that this 30 minutes of silence came [after] these verses in Revelation 7:9-17 These were the souls of them that came out of [great tribulation,] but THEY are standing before the throne [before] the 7th seal judgment is broken and [after] the 144,000 of the tribes of Israel are sealed, and in chapter 8 vs1 we read:
 And when he had opened the 7th seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
In verse 2 we see 7 angels which stood before God; and to them were given 7 trumpets. We read also in vs 3 another angel came and stood [at the alter] with a censer that he should offer the incense [with] the prayers  [of ALL saints] upon the golden alter which was before the throne. ALL means ALL the saints.
I then was taken back to chapter 6 where we read in vs 17 For the [great day] of his WRATH [is come;] and who shall be able to stand?

We all know that [if] we are in Christ and he in us, and his Word abides in us, we are sanctified, justified, and washed clean. Therefore we are not appointed unto the Wrath of God.

We read in Job 20:27-29 concerning the wicked man.
The heaven shall [reveal] his iniquity; and the earth shall rise up against him. The increase of his house shall depart, and his goods shall flow away in the day of his (God's) wrath. This is the portion of [a wicked man from God,] and the heritage [appointed] unto him by God.
So if his wrath [is] come in Revelation 6:17 we know that we are not on earth at this time.
It is my belief that we are taken out of the way before the 7th seal is broken, and Israel is sealed.

So what then do I think this 30 minutes of silence is in heaven?

I think it is according to heavenly time, literally 30 minutes [in heaven.]
My next question: Why? has God set this time of 30 minutes of silence for [all] of heaven?
I thought of the nature of God, that he is FULL of Grace, and Mercy, and is Long Suffering towards men and slow to anger. That it grieves (repents) him that he must bring His Wrath upon men [again.] Remember he told Noah 120 years, and he would bring the flood. Genesis 6:6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it (grieved) him at his HEART.
Even to that very day, I believe that [if] those upon earth had repented and turned back to God, he would NOT have brought the flood. The same nature of God is shown to us in the pleading of Abraham toward what God was going to do to Sodom and Gomorrah in the days of Lot.
This very day [ALL] of heaven is filled with the singing of the angels round about the throne of God, Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord, being sung continually.
God, I believe is not quick to anger, and yet he must bring about his Wrath. Therefore he commands 30 minutes of silence.
The Lord said this to us:( Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own (HEART) upon your bed, AND BE STILL. Selah
This brought to my mind, the 7 days, a week, for mourning the dead.
This was done by Noah after the death of Methuselah and before [the day] of the flood.
I think the 30 minutes of silence is set for God himself, to be still, or be slow to wrath, because what is written must come to pass. He Loves us all.

"The Day of The Lord" is mentioned 21 times in the whole of the scriptures.

For the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon [every] one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up, and he shall be brought low, Howl ye; for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come [as] a destruction from the Almighty. Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. For this is the day of the Lord God of hosts, a day of vengeance, that  [he may avenge him of his adversaries: and the sword shall devour, and it shall be satiate and made drunk with [their] blood: for the Lord God of hosts hath a sacrifice [in] the north country by the river Euphrates. Ye have not gone up into the gaps , neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel [to stand in battle] in the day of the Lord. For the day is near, even the day of the Lord is near, a cloudy day; [it] shall be the time of [the heathen.]  Alas for the day ! for the day of the Lord is at hand, and as a destruction [from the Almighty shall it come.] BLOW ye the trumpet in Zion, SOUND THE ALARM in my holy mountain: let ALL the inhabitants of the land [tremble]: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand; And the Lord shall utter [his voice] before [his army:] for his camp is very great: for he is strong that [executeth his word:] for the day of the Lord [is] GREAT AND VERY TERRIBLE; AND WHO CAN ABIDE IT? Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision. WOE unto you that desire the day of the Lord ! to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord  is darkness, and NOT LIGHT. Shall not the day of the Lord be darkness, and NOT LIGHT? EVEN VERY DARK, and no brightness in it? For the day of the Lord is near upon all the heathen: AS THOU HAST DONE, IT SHALL BE DONE  UNTO THEE: thy reward shall return upon thine own head. Hold thy peace AT THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD GOD: for the day of the Lord IS AT HAND: for the Lord hath prepared a sacrifice, HE HATH BID HIS GUESTS. The great day of the Lord is near, it is near and hasteth greatly, EVEN THE VOICE OF THE DAY OF THE LORD: the mighty man shall shall cry there bitterly. Behold the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil be divided in the midst of thee. To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. As also ye have acknowledged us in part, that we are your rejoicing, even as ye also are ours in the day of the Lord Jesus. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; [in the] which the heaven(s) shall pass away [with a great noise] and the elements [shall melt with fervent heat, and the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

BUT ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that THAT DAY should overtake you as a thief. Therefore let us not sleep, [AS DO OTHERS;] but let us WATCH and be SOBER. putting on the breastplate of FAITH and LOVE; and for an helmet, the HOPE of salvation, BY our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

THE 30 MINUTES of SILENCE I BELIEVE IS THE TIME OUR LORD THE ALMIGHTY, (Repents) BEFORE HE BRINGS HIS WRATH UPON THE WICKED OF THIS EARTH, and DESTROYS THIS OLD  EARTH AND THIS OLD HEAVEN.
There will be a New heaven and a New earth.
