WHEN DID JESUS BECOME THE MESSIAH ?...............

 

DEFINITION : Messiah  -  The one anointed by God to be the Savior

DEFINITION : anointed - To be anointed by the Holy Spirit is to be sanctified by God

DEFINITION : sanctified - To be sanctified by God is to be set-apart from all others

 

I submit to you that Jesus was anointed by God to be the Messiah when He was sanctified by the Holy Spirit at His  baptism. 

 

Matthew 3:16-17

"And Jesus, when He was baptised, went up straightway out of the water , and lo the heavens were opened unto Him , and HE SAW THE SPIRIT OF GOD descending like a dove, and lighting upon  Him. And a voice from heaven saying, THIS IS MY BELOVED SON in  whom I am well pleased."

 

Luke 3:23

" Jesus Himself was about thirty years old when He began His ministry "

 

SO, THERE YOU HAVE IT:

 

I submit to you that Jesus was about thirty years old when God anointed Him to be the promised Messiah at the time the Holy Spirit descended upon Him and sanctified Him when God spoke at His baptism.
