"GOD'S COVENANT WITH ABRAHAM"

GOD'S COVENANT WITH ABRAHAM...........

The first three Scriptures of Genesis chapter 12 describe the Abrahamic Covenant which God made with Abraham. Each of the first three Scriptures speaks of an individual promise God made with Abraham. Genesis 12:1 speaks of the FIRST PROMISE which God made of a promised land, ie. the land of Israel.   Genesis 12:2 speaks of the SECOND PROMISE which God made of a great nation, ie. the Nation of Israel. Genesis 12:3 speaks of the THIRD PROMISE which God made to Abraham of a blessing to come into the world through the seed of Abraham, ie. a promised Messiah.

Genesis 12:3

"And IN THEE shall ALL FAMILIES of the earth BE BLESSED."

Genesis 17:9

"And God said unto Abraham, Thou shall keep My covenant, therefore thou and thy seed after thee in their generations ."   ie. the covenant with many

Exodus 2:24

"And God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Issac, and with Jacob."  ie. the fathers of Israel

Acts 3:25

"You are the children of the covenant which God made with our fathers saying unto Abraham, And IN THY SEED SHALL ALL THE KINDREDS OF THE EARTH BE BLESSED."  ie. the promised Messiah

THE FOLLOWING SCRIPTURE DESCRIBES CHRIST’S MINISTRY AS THE PROMISED MESSIAH FULFILLING THE THIRD PROMISE OF THE ABRAHAMIC COVENANT :

Romans 15:8

"Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the Truth of God , TO CONFIRM THE PROMISES MADE unto the fathers."

SO, THERE YOU HAVE IT:

It is Jesus Christ, NOT the anti-Christ, who is the pronoun "he" that is "confirming the covenant with many" in the prophecy of Daniel 9:27.

According to Your Word, come Lord Jesus !
