"Let's Keep Families Together"

Dear John and Doves,
Legislation is now pending on sending back undocumented refugees,
and possibly splitting up families in order to do so.
I feel compelled to pray against this inhumane treatment.

All Americans are descended from immigrants who wanted to be free.
(Note: indigenous tribes were already here).

The only people taking jobs away from our labor force are the multinational corporations who fled our country years ago and gave away our jobs to places of lesser wages.

Here is the immigrant's
anthem written by Emma Lazarus at the turn of the 20th Century.
Irving Berlin put it to beautiful music in 1949.

The Statue of Liberty Poem

"Give me your tired, your poor;
Your huddled masses
yearning to breathe free;
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore,

Send these, the homeless
tempest-tossed to me;
I lift my lamp beside the golden door."

Fire and Ice
by Robert Frost
Our Nation's poet in 1962

"Some say the world will end in fire;
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire,
I hold with those who favor fire.

But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of
hate to say
That, for destruction, ice is also great
And would suffice."

For ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.".
