"A couple of things about Tu B'Av"

A translation of “AV” is “father”.

When the father inspected the house that the bridegroom prepared he would let his son know that it was time to bring his bride home.  It also reminds me of a bible parallel when Abraham sent a servant to fetch a bride (Rebekah) for his son Isaac.

  Here’s just another interesting similarity.

Tu b'Av is the 15th of Av.  Samekh is the 15th letter in the Hebrew alphabet.

Shown here where it is written as a circle resembling the dance of the maidens on Tu b’Av.
